Lake Placid is quaint little town

I had been to go hiking in Lake placid area this last weekend. It was snowing, and cold, but we accomplished some hike. The town had the quaint little town feeling.

We Stayed at Courtyard By Marriott Lake Placid. Got it for 80 dollars per night at price line bidding (I personally think it was a bit steep given that it was running empty and out of season). I would say that if you wait now and bid for 50 USD per night you can easily get a 3 star hotel.

There was a Howard Johnson diner! on Saranac Ave Lake Placid. Great break fast, also Noon- Mark mom-pop restaurant in Keene Valley nearby, very nice place.

We skipped lunch because of hiking…but for late night eating it is (they say it’s open till 2:00 am in the morning) its Wiseguys bar and grill on School street.

Lisa G’s – If you want to get charged for Club soda refill (2 dollars per glass), and 50 cents hot sauce, and food ….well you get it. Avoid it if you can.

Dinner was good with steak and seafood at Great Adirondack steak and sea food on main street. I had a very good clam chowder soup and stuffed mushrooms for an appetizer.

Happy Journeying
